I’m still full from last night – hee. It was a fun night, though it made me quite homesick hanging out with a Singaporean family(s) and eating homecooked food!

I know how you feel >>hugs<<

Ugh. Bev, can I spend just one evening with you eating all the wonderful food that you eat. Of course, I’d gain thirty pounds, unlike you who never seems to gain an ounce.
posted on July 15, 2006 at 6:46 am
Hehe yes, I could always do with more eating buddies! My Aussie friends really aren’t into food.. they’re totally disinterested 🙁

i’d go out eating with you
we can gorge out on food and then shop at AH :p
posted on July 15, 2006 at 7:35 am
I know, you make an awesome friend… hee! I don’t really know anyone in real life that likes AH, shopping, food as much as I do! :X

The moist nutella cake looks delish! You look really young in the last pic (that’s a compliment!)

I sometimes get mistaken for a 16 yr old *eek*
When I’m 30, i’d love to look younger.. but now, not so much 😛

I am sorry to hear about you and Chris. You’ll find someone that is a better match. That game won’t be very entertaining when that’s is his source of comfort.
I think he will be perfect with a girl that’s a little more hands-off and just wants less from her guy.. unfortunately that’s just not me 🙁

Poo, I don’t have it as it was in their recipe book! It was baiscally a butter cake though, with nutella swirled through it before being baked. It was yum :)~~

Bev, quick question. What kind of nuts did you put on the nutella cake? I can’t really tell from the photo.
posted on July 17, 2006 at 10:36 am
They’re hazelnuts, popped on top!

If you ever get the recipe for the Nutella Cake, please post it. I don’t mind a piece now. :p
posted on July 16, 2006 at 10:24 am
I noticed that it was actually a basic butter cake recipe, just that you put some nutella into the mix before baking and swirl it around.. and top with hazelnuts 🙂
posted on July 16, 2006 at 5:31 am
That beehoon dish looks so good! I prefer beehoon to egg noodles, any day! 😉
I normally prefer egg noodles, but this time, it was fantastic!! :)~
posted on July 16, 2006 at 8:31 pm
the food is to die for!! if you ever figure out how to make the crab bee hoon, pls share!! btw, what’s the recipe for the nutella cake?? I found a recipe for nutella cupcakes!!!
posted on July 16, 2006 at 9:37 pm
I’ll NEVER be able to make it 😛 It needs a really hot big wok.. so a regular wok or saucepan would just make it all gooey and not like it’s supposed to be :X
I think your recipe would be the same.. just that a cake just uses a bigger tin??
posted on July 18, 2006 at 9:45 pm
hahahahaha, ok ok, I’ll go try. I doubt I can make the crab bee hoon at home too. btw, do you know that there’s a famous crab bee hoon stall @ geylang?
