Yeah I agree, you sound more American and hardly Australian or Singaporean…perhaps you should throw in a few lah’s after each sentence! LOL =)

I think your accent is pretty Aussie, I deal with loads of American lawyers over the phone and your accent isnt as strong as theirs. My Italian friend sound american when she speaks english because her teacher used to show them american cartoons and tv shows to teach them!

Yeah I don’t think I have a strong American accent.. just bits of it pop up sometimes, probably from all the USA shows I watch as well! πŸ˜‰

Your voice is cute! That was my first thought before I read anybody’s comments. Although I didn’t have a voice imagined in my head – it didn’t sound like anything I would’ve expected. Very cool idea to post that file.

I kinda have a non-accent accent… thought some people might find it interesting since it’s not the standard American one πŸ™‚

Hehe eh if I can figure how to do that, I will πŸ˜›
Cos my voice is naturally low πŸ˜› People tend to think I have a high cutesey voice but it’s the total opposite!

It’s so fun to read others’ comments. I don’t really hear any kind of ‘American’ accent. I don’t really know what people think is an American accent though since I live in the US. πŸ™‚

I really catch the Aussie influence though! πŸ™‚ So cute!

Different people always comment on my accent different IRL too.. no one can definitively decide what it is, lol!!

You’ve a nice voice πŸ™‚ For someone who has lived in a few countries, I reckon’ you do have a tinge of Australian accent, especially at the last part of your sentence. Oh well, what do i know, aussies think i sound american, but americans think i sound aussie… and guess what, i went to school in England! I’m utterly confused!

Ya, it’s kinda all mixed up πŸ™‚ Americans tend to get British and AU accents confused though, apparently?

Actually, I don’t think you sound American at all and I’m pretty good at recognizing the accents that we have around here (South, East, Midwest, Etc). You sound totally cute. πŸ™‚

omg, you sound totally different from what i expected u’d sound like… i would never think u are singaporean just by hearing ur voice though hehe.

omg! haha that’s not how i ‘imagined’ your voice to be like..
noo u dont have a singaporean accent.. nor aussie though.. like someone said above, i think they way u said ‘and’ which sounds pretty american!
its a special accent πŸ™‚

You do sound American and you have a very cute voice! Totally different from what I’d imagined though. I thought you’d have a higher-pitched voice as you always sound so excited and upbeat in your writing πŸ˜›

*lol* yeah.. accents change when you spend so many years in a different country. I like the CNN no-accents accent the best!

That’s the kind of voice I have. Sometimes, I have a very small tinge of southern at times because my whole family is from there and that’s where I born.

Aww thank you!
And I would love to hear your voice too! photos don’t cut it anymore.. audio and video’s the way to go, heheheheheh πŸ˜›

You sound so cute!! Really different from what I thought… And so American! But so so cute!!!! πŸ˜€ (And how come you have an American accent anyway?)

Awww hehe thanks, that’s nice of you!

Erm, I don’t think I have an American accent though, but people always seem to say it.. maybe I watch too much USA tv?? πŸ˜›

It was just the way you said ‘and’ πŸ™‚ And that you sound so cheerful, which is how I usually find American accents to be!

Ohhh haha yeah, true. Some words make me sound American I guess. But I always say “innit” which sends my friends into fits of laughter – they say it sounds so cockney πŸ˜‰

Haha, you should record that! πŸ˜€ It would be so confusing with your other american sounding words!

Apparently when I say ‘oh yeah’ I pronounce it as ‘aww yeeah’ (in a really Ocker way) and everyone makes fun of it…

Strangely, you have no accent like I thought you would (which mean you sound American lol). (Actually, I think you still sound the same from your voice samples during Gemz days lol)

I don’t think I have much of an accent.. but if I was forced to choose, I’d say SG and AU, which is no big surprise, hehe.

Yeah, the last time I did audio files was almost 10 years ago I think! Time flies..

Doesn’t sound like an American accent to me… Although, I think there are probably several different types of American accents.

Really?! People say that to me sometimes but I have no idea where I get it from.. I’d say I sound more Singaporean than American πŸ˜›
