FOOD, Uncategorized PIZZAS! 18 May 2006

Bought a Brabuddy and it came in the mail earlier this week. They’re such a good idea! Instead of having a cross-back bra, you can just convert a normal bra into one. So ingenious πŸ™‚

Anyway, was not feeling well today so rested at home. Maybe it was because of the flu shot I got at work yesterday.. my arm was also killing me today from the shot! Mooched at home then went for a leisurely bike ride to Artarmon, which took only about 10 mins each way. The sun and fresh air made me feel TONS better and really cleared my head. Plus there was a nice fruit/veg store there that I happily did my grocery shopping at, so I could cook dinner tonight.

Ended up making some pizzas. I smeared on tomato paste, crushed garlic, and then a generous dollop of ricotta cheese – I’m so glad I ‘discovered’ ricotta.. it’s fantastic. Lower fat and calories than mozerella cheese and gives adds a lovely creamy texture with no oil. Mmmmm… And then I heaped on some garlic & herb sausage, capsicum, onion, mushrooms, basil and a sprinkle of mozerella cheese on the top. The finished it all off with a spray of olive oil. They took only 10 mins in the oven to bake and made a delicious dinner.. with a bit of salad on the side.

Anyway, just got off the phone with Mum. Actually we used Skype but I swear it was just like using a phone. Zero lag time and 100% perfect quality. Oh yeah, IT’S FREE!! I mean, why would anyone bother having a phone line now that we can all use Skype for free to call each other? I hope telecommunication companies sit up a little straighter now that they know they’re up against a service that is as good as theirs and is free.. since the prices they charge are ludicrious.

Let’s Chat!

Let's Chat!

Yeh I seen one of those bra converter thingies before, it’s cool! If
I wore a bra i’d get one too!

Your mum’s tech savvy huh….. bet she shops on eBay too πŸ˜›

I’ve always avoided X-back tops because I didn’t want to specifically buy a bra to suit it.. so I’m happy now that I’ve got this Brabuddy

Ahh my parents don’t use eBay! They’re not much of a shopaholic like me πŸ˜‰

What a great idea!! I’m gonna get me one! I have heaps of gym/running tops that are cut like that.
And your pizzas look like the home made ones I make. Yummy!

SkypeOut calls Pizza Hut for free?! Is that because you work at eBay? I suppose it’s effectively free since the per-minute rate is only a couple of cents, and Pizza Hut has a target call time of 80 seconds.

Errrr!!! Sorry SkypeOut is paid for.. I had a brain fart, haha. It’s just Skype-to-Skype that’s free πŸ˜›

Do you mean it’s a lot or little cheese?? ‘Cos I put in really really little.. I want to be healthy now πŸ™‚

Ugh, I hate flu shots. I got one last November before the flu season in the states and felt so icky for 3 days. My arm hurt and I was all feverish…

I want the brabuddy. . .

Saaaame here! I had a wierd reaction to the shot. well, if it keeps me flu-free all year like it did last year, I’ll be happy πŸ˜›

The brabuddy sounds like a great idea! That sure beats even those bras with the clear straps.

Have you used Google Talk yet? I’m still trying to figure out which is better…Skype or Google Talk. My bf is long distance so we communicate this way. Our phone bills used to be crazy every month before we started using this. >_< !!!

Hope you’re feeling better! Take care! πŸ˜€

BTW…What are you up to this weekend? Anything fun?

I’ve used Google Talk but I still like Skype more.. for me there’s no diff between the phone andn using Skype – love it πŸ˜€

Chris and I are doing a charity run on Sun, for the RSPCA, looking forward to it! Are you up to anything exciting?

*drools at pizzas* Some day I want to take the time to learn to cook like THAT. πŸ˜€

It’s a pretty great deal about Skype. I heard at the end of the year they are going to consider whether or not to charge for service. But until then.. yay!

Aww it’s really easy!! just chop up the stuff and throw it on a pizza and bake for 10 mins πŸ˜› I don’t cook difficult stuff as I’m lazy and not really that good

If Skype ends up charging and it’s still cheaper than a phone line I’d go with it. I can’t STAND regular phone lines and their silly “monthly line rental” of $20!

I’ve found Skype to be as good or better quality than a regular phone, but sometimes inconsistent. I used it a lot (girlfriend was overseas for a while), and every now and then it would mess up very badly, and sound very scrambled before dropping out. This might’ve been due to a dodgy peer that my call data was supposed to go through, though.

I’d like to try SkypeIn. That looks really cool.

While Skype is good, I was surprised that eBay was willing to pay $2.6 billion for it. Google Talk had already come out at the time, and Microsoft had announced they wanted to get into the VoIP service business. $2.6b for a company about to go up against Google and MS seems a bit steep.

I ahven’t gotten bad quality with Skype, but then again I don’t really chat on the phone that often! I’m an internet geek and really only use ICQ or email.. I’ve got SkypeOut and love it πŸ™‚

Do you mean it’s a lot or little cheese?? ‘Cos I put in really really little.. I want to be healthy now πŸ™‚

Those Brabuddy’s are fantastic! My sister and I have a few hehe. πŸ™‚

Hey, you know those bag-sorter type things you have? I really don’t know how to explain them, haha. The thing with all the pockets in it so you can find stuff in your bag… could you possibly tell me what they’re called/send me the link for the website? Thanks♥

Those pizzas look great by the way! yuummmm:)

Hopefully they will! Otherwise you can still buy ’em online.. you get 3 in a pack so it’s a good deal πŸ™‚

I know! It’s just a piece of plastic.. probably 20c to make, but it’s so ingenious.. I wish I could dream up of stuff like that *lol*

I thought you’d posted pics of your boobs! I was going to comment on how nice they are πŸ˜‰ (Though I’m sure you have good boobs! They look quite nice under your clothes! :D)

Nice pizzas! My bf makes pizza with artichokes on them, and maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan they’re so good!!!!

We can’t be talking about Bev’s boobs. Just can’t. She was just a little thing when I started talking to her and now she’s all grown up and has boobs. Ugh. I just have to leave now. πŸ™‚

Hee!! Yes we’re all oldies now.. I know some people back from when I was 13 and it’s amazing how much we’ve all changed

I know! It’s been at least seven years now that I’ve been following your stories and sometimes it’s just amazing to see how far people have really come. Crazy, but also kind of interesting.

Hee yes, I was just a baby 7 yrs ago! (but then again if you’d asked me that 7 yrs ago I’d have sworn up and down that I was “grown up” πŸ˜‰

Re: Where can I find a bra buddy online?

*ROFL*!!!! Oh man, I WISH they looked like that..
Oh i’ve never had artichokes before.. what do they taste like? They’re a veg, right? (is quite clueless about veggies)

Re: Where can I find a bra buddy online?

My wife also hadn’t had artichokes before moving to the states, so one night we went to a friends house for dinner and they were serving artichokes. She had no clue how to eat them and didn’t want to ask and look stupid, so she stuck the whole leaf into her mouth and started chewing on it. Moments later I could tell she wasn’t enjoying it and kind of whispered to her about it. Then I realized she was trying to eat the leaves. Anyhow, trying to explain the whole scraping the leaves thing with your teeth wasn’t much better, so now she just avoids artichokes altogether. Ugh.

Re: Where can I find a bra buddy online?

ooo they sound weird.. if you can’t eat the leaves what do you eat? what do they taste like? They sould like alien thingys πŸ˜›

Re: Where can I find a bra buddy online?

You might try to start out with the artichoke hearts, which are the soft centers. You can probably buy them in a can or something separately. Sometimes they put them on pizzas. Once you get past that, you can attempt to eat the whole artichoke, leaves and all. Some people dip the leaf in a sauce or mayo and then you bite the artichoke leaf and, keeping your teeth clamped down on the leaf, you pull the leaf out of your mouth, kind of scraping the soft part in and eating that. You just keep doing that over and over until your done, tossing the rest of the leaf each time. I’m not a big artichoke eater.

For people not familar, it really is like an alien thingy.

Re: Where can I find a bra buddy online?

Oh I’ve heard of artichoke hearts! I have to admit, the veg doesn’t sound very appetizing at all :X I might venture there if I’m in a restaurant and if it’s in front of me, but I daren’t cook it to eat! πŸ˜›
