FOOD, Uncategorized THE WEEKEND IN PICTURES 23 April 2006

Nothing starts a weekend better than a healthy.. whoops, I mean, hearty
McDonalds breakfast. My favourite? Sausage & Egg muffin, hashbrown, orange juice :)~

Love Bread Top, went nuts buying more bread there again!

I’m sad Easter is over.. no more Cadbury creme eggs πŸ™

Beautiful sunny weather at Darling Harbour

One of the best sushi I’ve ever had – the seawood was actually crisp
and the salmon & avocado was so fresh!

Harry’s Cafe de Wheels – best pies on the planet!

Seafood pie (fish, scallops, prawns, etc)

*drools*

Bought “Chicken Soup for the Father & Daughter’s soup”..
it looks really sweet and I love the Chicken Soup series

Also got some books from the library: “Nutrition for slobs”..
because I think it’s perfect for me πŸ˜‰

“Shape Up Australia”.. to motivate me to exercise more

“Guinness World Records”.. just because I’m nosy πŸ˜›
And to figure out if there’s something I can do to get myself in there – haha!

Went to the Fitness Expo.. the aim was to learn something
cool that could get me fit quick….

..but ended up not getting anything except sampling tons of food! Oops!
This is the strawberries & custard

This female body builder was awesome, she looked great!

Made pizzas tonight πŸ˜€

Hi Beverly =)

You had me added before when my journal was ko_haku but now i’ve swapped over…
I was just dropping a line because im sure i remember reading that you had had dinner at Tetsuyas on Kent St and i’m seriously considering taking the boy for his birthday.

What is it like? Worth the bang for buck? The only doubt I have is that it is set menu..is the atmosphere nice?

Thankyou!

Oo Tetsuya’s is worth every single penny – the food is totally unique and you won’t find it anywhere else.. I mean, if they served plain steak then I woudln’t justify the cost since many other places also serve great steak. But their menu is totally unique and spectacular, he’ll love it πŸ™‚

Breadtop resembles BreakTalk! I agree with you that the female bodybuilder looks great, it’s nice to see one who ain’t all bulk and non feminine looking anymore.

Her face was a dead ringer for Reese Witherspoon! She was so pretty and she wasn’t really that ‘lumpy’, so I still thought she looked great πŸ™‚

Yeah it’s a direct copycat.. but Australia doesn’t have the original Breadtalk so I’ll have to settle for a counterfeit! πŸ˜›

if i ever happen to visit australia, i would definitely try those pies.
btw, i look for an entry, in which you posted some funny problems caught by user helpdesk. do you remember, when it was posted?

Those pies are seriously world famous.. celebs come and have ’em – so yum :)~

Ahh I don’t remember what date I put it but if you click on CALENDER on the right, then SUBJECTS, you might be able to find it?

Their hotcakes rock too! I just love the breakfasts there

The pizzas were small, only about 6″ across – I had 2 and was still starving :X

Hey I was at Harry Cafe de Wheels on Saturday! The boy and I had cravings for Coney dogs but obviously couldn’t get it here so we settled for Harry’s Chilli dogs instead.

Haha we both have similar food taste, really πŸ˜‰
I like Harry’s hotdogs and seafood pie.. hadn’t had one in ages, wish they woudl come back to the city!

Wow! Nice weekend! McDonald’s Sausage and Egg muffin is my favorite too! with a good coffee, it’s perfect to start any day (okay, not *any* day… just not too often πŸ™‚ )

haha, yeah, hashbrowns are really good, especially if they’re crispy on the outside. lol

have you ever seen those chocolate easter eggs with mini peeps inside them? they’re way up there with the cadbury creme eggs. so good

you know, i’ve never really had a good slice of pie. i mean, i’ve tasted pies before but never memorable ones. i’m still looking around for bakeries that make good ones. i feel like i’m missing out. hehe

They don’t have peeps here in Sydney.. I’ve NEVER seen them selling before, it sucks!!

Ahhh.. Australia’s famous for their pies :)~

they’re better than those Pizza Hut/Dominos/etc ones cos you actually know what’s going into it, and the fresh ingredients always taste so much nicer, yum :)~

I love the cake from Breadtop!

I bought a hotdog from Harry’s once, and I ended up wasting it because it had so much bean paste and it was hard to eat. (o_o) Should stick with the pies eh?

They’re pretty good hey! I like everything I’ve tried so far..

I like the hotdog with the onions and cheese.. haven’t had it with the bean paste but I’m sure I wouldn’t like it either :X I find their meat pies pretty normal, but their seafood pies are superb!!
