I think I normally don’t have my feet in photos! I wear flats quite a bit on weekends, but usually heels for work (i’m too short)!

It was def fun! I stayed at Holiday Inn at Silom, which is a really nice big hotel, but far from the city :X

so much yummy food pic!!! BTW which hotel is that? it looks like a wonderful place to stay at. 🙂
posted on December 17, 2005 at 3:22 pm
It was Holiday Inn, but we booked it at Silom instead of Chitlom cos both sounded so similar, haha, oops!

Looks like you had a rewarding trip!! 🙂
It was def fun… a nice few days away with no work!

What wonderful pictures detailing your trip! You make me want to visit BKK again 🙂 Were you at The Little Kitchen? The food looked familiar 😉
posted on December 17, 2005 at 3:15 pm
Oo I don’t know if I was at The Little Kitchen, to be honest I didn’t really catch most of the names of places we went to! 😛
posted on December 17, 2005 at 3:18 pm
lol! Well if it was in Central Chidlom, then it might be TLK. I forgot to ask, which hotel is that? The buffet looks marvellous!
posted on December 17, 2005 at 3:24 pm
It was! Such great food :)~
It was Holiday Inn at Silom.. the breakfast was great, but Silom’s a bit far from the city :X

I just got back from Bangkok earlier this week and I can’t wait to return for another holiday! love that place especially the food, massage and shopping 🙂
And how on earth do you stay so skinny despite eating so much! :\
posted on December 17, 2005 at 3:23 pm
Ooo we must’ve just missed each other!
I LOVE the food there.. wish we could’ve stayed longer and had more. the portions are small, so I didn’t feel guilty eating 😛

Hi…total stranger to you here. I’ve been checking out your journal (I put it in my favorite places a while back…I don’t post in my journal…I only made one so I could comment/rarely post in the handbag communities). I found you in one of those and you always had such great stuff and great things to say, so I clicked on your name one day. I just wanted to let you know I SO enjoy your posts. The pictures of all the food are absolutely amazing. I get so hungry looking at them. And all your other photos are so much fun to look at since I’m sure I’ll never have a chance to travel to all those places (I live in Florida). Also, I got such a kick out of how you take pics of yourself trying on things in the dressing room. Reason being, I have a 19 year old daughter that does the same exact thing and I thought she was the only one who ever did that! BTW, I’m American and my husband is Chinese, so much of that food looks so familiar to me. I didn’t mean to write you a novel…I just wanted you to know how much I enjoy your journal. Sorry for the intrusion.
p.s. I cringed at the 2nd picture of you sitting having breakfast! I thought, “OMG, what if one of those drinks gets knocked over onto her Balenciaga!”

Hey welcome 🙂 Florida is amazing and I love it there, lucky you! I went to Disneyworld when I was little, but your family have probably been there 2645 times. Bangkok has similar weather – really balmy but still with a nice breeze. But then again, we went in December .. when i was there in June it was stinking hot 🙁

Wow!! You look like you had so much fun!!
I really like the pink taxi’s… haha.
posted on December 18, 2005 at 1:10 am
I thought the pic of the pink cab was really nice.. cos it was so *bright* and everything else was kinda grey. I want one, lol!

The egg custard next to the mango was my fave!! So so sweet.. kinda like indonesian kaya, yum 🙂

AHH! it’s so funny reading this post because i grew up in bangkok and have so many fond attachments to it. seeing you (whose food posts i’ve grown accustomed to) explore bangkok is really strange. you have a good eye for picking out the best things about bangkok – like the millions of cakes and the pink taxis! i’m glad you enjoyed it
posted on December 18, 2005 at 1:12 am
Ohhh lucky duck, i think it woudl be nice to live there. i told my mum i’d like to live in a little village hut and wash my own clothes and eat at the roadside stores, and she’s like “haha, you’ll last a day!”. But i think I’ll like it.. especially the roadside food, yum!

Fab post. Why did you buy a fake Gucci when you can *so* afford a real Gucci? Anyhow, love the pic of the hotel that you stayed it. Looks so lux. I think the picture of the cake was super cute, as were the pink taxis. That was a cute Dior shirt.
posted on December 18, 2005 at 1:51 am
I’d get a real one in an instant if they had it in this design/shape and not keep selling out :X if I do see it in the boutique i’ll def get it!
Ahh.. I can’t keep myself clean in white, too dangerous. I like the top so much though

you gotta be careful at overseas shopping centres. they aren’t ISO certified one.

Re: blood!???? blood!!!???
and its lucky you didn’t get the white top, then you only get blood splatter all over it. now THAT would take some explaining at the customs….
posted on December 18, 2005 at 6:30 am
rofl.. that would look pretty suspicious, walking through customs @ the airport with blood on me 😉
posted on December 18, 2005 at 5:32 am
hi bev! you have the best pictures… always! anyway, what kind of camera do you use? it’s sooo clear! i love it. i have a canon s60 and it sucks.. or maybe i dont know how to configure it..

MIne’s a Casio Exilim, but it’s not really built for quality – but more for how small it is! But since my pics are cropped so small, I don’t mind the quality (3.2megapixels) 🙂
posted on December 18, 2005 at 6:37 am
the quality is great! do you photoshop your pictures?
posted on December 18, 2005 at 2:33 pm
To be honest, when I shrink the pics that small for my LJ, it tends to just look nicer 😛 Then I use Paint Shop Pro auto-enhance sometimes if a pic is too dark, etc..
posted on December 18, 2005 at 2:40 pm
Oh wow! Look at the yummy fooooood 😉
It’s been ages since I went to Bangkok – didn’t know they had pink cabs!
posted on December 18, 2005 at 3:20 pm
Me neither! they didn’t have pink cabs when i was there a few years ago.. or at least I didn’t notice them then. They’re cool, they really stand out
posted on December 18, 2005 at 3:48 pm
great photos! very amused with the leather seats, must be oh-so-comfy!
and wow, so many shoes at that shoe store 😀
the mango and sticky rice looks way too yummy! luckily, its mango season over here!! ummm!!
posted on December 19, 2005 at 12:46 am
I thought the leather seats were better cos they don’t have that stinky airplane smell that i can’t stand :X
I love mango season! it’s my fave fruit :)~

Gosh those yummy food is making me real hungry. I agree with u on the shopping part. I ended up eating mostly in BKK.

Much nicer than the normal pochette!
posted on December 19, 2005 at 5:23 am
Hehe my sentiments exactly! I do like it a lot more than the regular pochettes.. the silver clasp does it for me
posted on December 19, 2005 at 5:57 am
Ok that was me who responded above. Sorry, I’m still dazed from my afternoon nap. Have you seen the matching wallet with the silver clasp? I can scan it in from the catalogue for you if you don’t have it already.
posted on December 19, 2005 at 7:48 am
I do like the wallet (the Koala is the one your’e referring to I think?) but I looove my vernis wallets so I haven’t gotten it. The Koala agenda is adorable though!

was the shopping really bad? i’m heading to bkk mid of next year. and yes, it’s serious business wrt retail therapy! 😛
posted on December 19, 2005 at 5:25 am
Nah it wasn’t bad at all! If you like high-end designer, it’s more for looking not buying (it’s way more $$ in BKK)
and if you like the markets type stuff, it’s also fun. I just didn’t like it ‘cos I didn’t have a friend my age to shop with, and there was just SO much I was kinda overwhelmed 😛
BKK is known as a shopping paradise.. so I’m sure you’ll like it 🙂 I just prefer the food, but you know me 😉

You look professional in that beauty counter pic, like you work a cosmetics company or something. 😀
Haha thank ya! I’m so serrrrrious though, hopefully I don’t scowl ALL the time in real life 😉
