Congrats on your eBay user honors! And I’m sorry you’re feeling sick, if it’s bad enough that retail therapy with your mom didn’t cure it… πŸ™

Aww, I hate being sick too, especially when you’re supposed to be on vacation. I hope you get well soon! πŸ™‚ And congrats on your eBay titles. πŸ˜€

the yeo keng nam chicken rice place is so near my old place!

good thing i’m full right now. if not i sure crave for fish head curry. their fish head curry also very nice.

Cool! Have you eaten there before? Apparently it’s quite famous or something.. but has lost some business to the cheaper (no air-con) place next door..

Someone (I think it was my dad) said that it was spicy, but I didn’t think so at all – maybe ‘cos I didn’t have the gravy.. i just had the fish, it was sooo soft, delish

I love the Chey Tow Kway, Chwee Kway and Beef Hor Fun at Ghim Moh hawker centre. Have you ever tried the Chey Tow Kway (Fried Carrot Cake) at Newton hawker centre? There is only one stall there that sells delish Chey Tow Kway and it is AH HENG FRIED CARROT CAKE stall. I haven’t been there now that they have been relocated to another place opposite AutoBahn.

I had the chey tow kway there, and my parents were telling me the Chwee kway was fab, but I didn’t really have the appetite :X

I don’t think I’ve had Chey tow kway had Newton though! Gotta try it πŸ˜€ It’s just not the same in Australia..

*grin* haven’t written that many.. but i guess it hasn’t really been promoted widely, so I get a false headstart πŸ˜› At least i have this snapshot to show my grandchildren.. HAHA!

i miss singapore. i miss the humidity. i miss the refreshingly random thunder storms. i miss the fresh CHEAP fruit juices. i especially miss handmade noodles w/pickled vegetables. but mostly, i miss being away.

I used to HATE the weather and humidity.. but now that I live overseas, I just love the heat πŸ™‚

It really makes you appreciate your country once you move away!

Random Storms?

but… it rains every day during the rainy season. where’s the randomness in that? might as well stand under a shower!

Re: Random Storms?

that’s right. correct me if i’m wrong, but i’ve been told the tropics has four summers: dry (as in no rain, super humid), wet (rainy and super humid), dry windy (no rain, less humid), and wet windy (rainy, less humid). ok, that almost hardly makes any sense. anyhow, i was there only during the drier summer season, e.g. late july thru mid-november. believe me, the storms were random. the last time i got caught in the rain wearing a tanktop and sandals was in san diego, ca on an old spring day years ago. hasn’t happened again since.

I just came down with flu yest too. What a bummer!!

and I am relying on good ol’ clarinase to do the trick too!

hey bev, go see a doc. our hot & humid weather is not helping. this time of the year, virus is all around so all the more you need to stay indoors & get well. take care!

I’ve been taking Clarinase yesterday and today.. hope it’ll be better, if not i’ll go to the doc :X It sucks being sick! I hope you don’t catch the bug going around πŸ™‚

I got the bug alright but it was not a bad streak. I just get it on & off. Today is supposedly my last day on the damn course of antibiotics. I want a fun filled Xmas so the virus better leave me soon. :/

I hope Clarinase wards away the virus in you completely & soon!

I am OK. In fact I have been hitting the gym as if my body is well. I don’t like antibiotics either. :/

You get well soon! *sending lots of healthy vibes your way*
