I think you might need to eat more…No, I’m serious! Really πŸ™‚ If you up your activity and cut way down on your food (fuel) your body’s gonna go ‘WHOA!’ and go into a starvation mode and cut your metabolism to keep from starving…

It might be better if you eat what you normally ate and increased your activity… you could see how that goes for a month. If you don’t like how your losing or something you can cut down a little than, but by than your body is going to be used to the exercise….

And for petes sake!!! lol..your not fat!

I’m not cutting way down.. but about 50% less – that’ll bring me to what the average person would eat, so I reckon that’s reasonable πŸ˜› No less though, I’d die!!

And yeahh, trying to exercise but it’s so boring and I hate exerting myself ;(

Self control. o.O
Eat slowly, and have a good breakfast and stuff, I heard it works. Um and snack if you must, on really healthy things like nuts or something. πŸ™‚
Keep it up! πŸ˜›

The perfect recipe is to make sure you eat breakfast, then snack, then lunch, then snack, then dinner, then snack. When I’m talking snacks, I mean fruit and yoghurt kind of stuff. You body is continuously being fed, so it sends the signal that it’s getting food, and burns it instead of storing it. It’s hard for me to eat all that food! I didn’t used to eat breakfast or snacks and wait until lunch to eat something! So by the time I ate lunch, it wouldn’t burn it, it would store it because I’d literally starved myself until lunch time! Once you get into that habit of eating like that, the exercise will come easy, because you’ve eaten enough to give you energy to sustain an exercise session. Now, if I don’t go for a walk at least, I feel grumpy and tired. Exercise in the morning is the best time of the day. It gets your metabolism going to burn the stuff you eat during the day!
You’re doing a great job Bev! Remember it’s only your first week, and you’re still getting into the groove! Some people, if they really exercise and stick to a totally healthy eating plan can lose a kilo a week. I tend to trip up a little sometimes, so it’s taking me longer LOL.
And I’m sorry to say, but that person you met is either completely blind or incredibly stupid lol. You’re beautiful!

Ya, my dad’s been saying that snacking is good ‘cos then I don’t eat a TON for my mail meals. But geez it’s hard to eat fruit as snacks – they’re horrid ;(

I’m still determined though πŸ˜› going to try and do it for a month and see how my fitness/weight goes.. then go from there!

I’m with you on the lethargy thing. I ALWAYS feel tired after exercising, so much so I could fall asleep straight away (and I usually don’t fall asleep easily unless I’m really tired). People always say that exercise GIVES you energy, but I’ve yet to experience it.. and I’ve been going to the gym for years (albeit not as often as I should oops πŸ™ )

hmmm, i think it’s normal to feel tired, since you just got started on the whole healthy thing.

I felt that way too when I just got on it. But, sigh, oh well, time to get back on it πŸ™‚
