Hi!
Well, I first came across you on the net when your site was still at altern – altern.org/stardust (it’s amazing I still remember this) – but then again, I’d only begun to wander onto the WWW that year and I remember being particularly taken with your site. I even know little bits of trivia about you, like you being at the Australian Int’l School and things like that, which was all very intriguing for a little girl like me then.. oh and then, you know, you went on to do the infamous gemz.net (remember all that drama over domains that started sprouting up after you started yours??? in fact, now that I think about it, I do believe you were one of the first few girls on the net EVER to have your own domain! after that there was just an absolute CRAZE – hm..remmember domains like lylas.net? ashley.nu? and pseud.com? and lord knows what else, there were so many, but you were the true pioneer, I really do think so!) and for a while I think you went on laundro too. Remember the gemz.net forums? They were SO interesting and bitchy! (Remember this girl called Chrystal? From your school, too? She was Australian and a debater too.. I’m not sure why I suddenly remember this little nugget of info :))))))

And, well, you probably think I’m a crazed stalker by now, but I swear I’m not, teehee, it’s just that I’ve always viewed you as, well, the PERFECT girl, because it seems that you’ve had this amazing fairytale life..like you’re just SO. DAMNED. GOOD. at every single thing you do! you know, on the net when you were in your teens, then even in your career..microsoft, ebay, etc!!

I’m from Singapore too by the way. And I think, a couple of years ago, I saw you in Orchard Road before (well, no surprise there I guess!) but yeah that’s it :))))

Heya! Ahh can’t believe you saw me on Orchard Rd, it’s a small world heh πŸ™‚ Do you have a website too?
And wow, I do remember all that internet ‘history’… don’t we feel like grandmas of the internet now, esp back in the day where it wasn’t really that huge amongst kids πŸ˜›

I dunno if you can still remember me from SG, I once emailed you on the list of good food that can be found in SG.

When I first chanced upon your LJ, i saw lotsa pics of you in some kinda photoshoot that your friend took of you. I really admired your figure, and ur stomach. Its really amazing how you can still stay slim despite the huge amount that you can eat. =)

I must admit I haven’t followed your LJ for quite a while, but still, each time I read it, it alwiz seems so enlightening with good food, lovely pics and how you write about the on-goings of your life. Its really nice to see how fulfilling, a fellow young Singaporean girl’s life can get! =)

Fawn =)

Yes I do remember you!! I forwarded the list to my mum to look at too πŸ™‚

If you have an LJ account let me know as I can add you as a friend and you can see my Friends only entries πŸ™‚

I’m a bit late in posting this (busy busy week.)

There’s 2 things that come to mind and I can’t decide between the 2 which is stronger πŸ™‚ The first would be when you made voice recordings of your entries… I thought it was such a clever and personal touch, I tried to mimic it with my site but it didn’t turn out or work anywhere near as well as yours πŸ™‚

The second would be the post you made about how you and Chris first became… more than friends. At the time I had been following your journal for already 1-2 years, all the while reading about you and your previous boyfriend (I’m so horrible with names, I’m afraid I’ve forgotten what his name is atm). I remember reading over the entry about Chris over and over again, really feeling shocked and surprised. It was shocking not only for what it was, but it also was a very much more “personal” post than I had ever remembered you posting… it felt like something I shouldn’t know and something I appreciated you sharing both at the same time.

Another one that popped into my head: I remember e-mailing you and asking you advice on hosting services. I was referred to coummnitech.net by you πŸ™‚

I should do voice recordings again.. one day πŸ™‚

I remember that 1st entry about Chris.. it was a weird time, I haven’t had many boyfriends so falling in love was/is a really big deal for me πŸ™‚

I remember, once I was looking for Mason Pearson hairbrush and you posted it in your journal. It seems so unimportant, but I don’t know, why I keep remember about it. Maybe because I was looking all over Germany (ok, that’s too much) and couldn’t find it. Suddenly, I found them being sold in petshops.
And of course, your 21st birthday party, both the food and your birthday cake seemed delicious and you wore that nice purple top πŸ™‚

Ooo I don’t rememer about the MP brush! I do remember my 21st bday post though, haha πŸ™‚

Did you get a MP brush after all? It ended up not working for me.. wasn’t tough enough for my hair, haha!

Yup, I got that hairbrush, but I was totally dissapointed, as it felt like normal hairbrush. I got it at ebay for less then 20€ (retail price was U$90), but couldn’t sell it again as it was used a few times by me.
I also want to add, I remember, that you named your mice Pepsi and Sprite hehe…you’re so funny.

Yeah I wasn’t too impressed in the end either :X You can re-sell it even if it’s used, can’t you?

Heheh I miss my mice.. and Caramel too!

i remember seeing your posts on vogue and having a double take not remembering posting in those threads, then realising it was a different beverly!

I remember looking up heaps of reviews in MUA to work out what I wanted, and it was your review of Sugar Cookies that made me get MMU’s one. And then I found a link to your blog…

I remember fetching your sandal out of the water at Pyrmont fish markets, after you dropped it.

I remember your farewell party at college, where the guys were so scared of you, that they had to ask you politely to basin you before you left.

I remember the night of the party for the college review of our first year; standing on the balcony at Darling Harbour.

I remember Tetsuya’s with you.

ack… far too many memories, both good and bad, but these are some of the first that come to mind.

My earliest recollection of you is when you were in high school, I believe, and you were with Nick and we were chatting on ICQ and trying to figure out how to record sound files with our voices on them. I had my own idea of what an asian girl would sound like, so when you popped out with a very royal sounding english accent, it took me back. And to you… I sounded very Californian.

Those were the days… way before LiveJournal or blogging software. Just simple hand-coded pages.

i remember the first time i met you @ seoul garden for the littledot.net grp meet! with kev, jeff, ling and leanne i think. and i remember finding out that we both had the same ballet teacher too (the one @ thomson plaza)!

My friend actually introduced me to your website saying that you were into makeup and so was I and she thought we were a good match. Since then, I realize that like me you’re a foodie as well!

When you went to Singapore last summer ! I was totally amazed at the pictures you posted, to me it looked like the biggest trip ever, I kept thinking it must have been so expensive !

The first memory that comes to my mind was when you visited me at the Takashimaya clinique counter. Gorgeous gorgeous pretty skin! (Although I was a little surprised that you were a bit… on the shorter side. ;p)

*lol* so many people say that.. I’m just like the average person in terms of food consumption, it’s just that I’m female, so people notice!

I remember JUST getting a livejournal account (a few years back) and I visited one of my friends’ pages. (xiaofeih) I think you commented in one of her posts and I clicked on your name (not knowing how to really use LJ or what it really was) and one of your entries was so interesting (about your mice, uni, etc) so I just kept reading it and eventually added you on my “friends” list. (You’re the only person on it that I don’t know in person) Its really enjoyable seeing all the yummy pics of food and all the interesting things that happen to you! I hope this doesn’t sound too weird, lol!

Let me see!

I know you from Faan. One of my friends (Anna- haven’t talked to her in ages) went to the fashion recruitement thingo- you know the comp that Chiou won. I sorts know some of her friends but haven’t talked to them in years.

Later on i saw you at the Thai Restraunt in Macquarie with Chris. I was standing right behind you and thought you looked familar but i couldn’t put my finger on it. I was making heaps of noise and it was funny because Chris moved seats cause i was too loud.

I found your blog- not sure- through some guys website. That’s how i know you.

I love reading your blog…makes me want to better mine.(not sure about the grammer but hey it makes sense to me)

But now you mostly just make me hungry and FAT!

Catherine

Ooooh ya I remember Faan.

And hehe, Chris and I are like old people, we get grouchy if people us are too noisy, lol!!

I remember finding you in the LJ Louis Vuitton community. You were the girl with the kick arse LV collection, and you lived in Australia!! Since then I’ve grown to admire you for your accomplishments, and I love your entertaining and colourful posts!

Hmm… where to begin?

Funniest memory: ‘How long do you cook 2 minute noodles for?’ (That *still* makes me laugh!)

Best memory: Probably our night out in 2000 with Khai and Tim in the city – we had cocktails at the ANA (now the Shangri-La Hotel, I think) and even won money at the casino!

rofl, I still don’t remember that noodle thing! πŸ˜‰

Ahhh yes, the ANA was fun. I still have pics from that.. it was a great night

I remember I happened upon your eBay profile a million years ago (through Laundro maybe? I can’t remember…) and thought it was fabulous, even though I’d never heard of the place before, and I signed up. So I guess you were working for eBay even back then! πŸ˜€

I like my foodie pics.. hehe.. I keep ’em all on my computer too and scroll through them once in a while, and drool all over again! πŸ˜›

*lol* so many people say that.. I’m just like the average person in terms of food consumption, it’s just that I’m female, so people notice!

i remember seeing you in some of my friends’ pages. that’s how i recognized you when you were back in sg, eating in the food loft at marina square! πŸ˜‰

then when i was allowed to read your posts, omg! all that food posts and lovely shopping loot you always put up! enviable!

Oh, I have a funny funny one!
I remember when we were little, you told me with a very serious face that when we pee, we have to pee against the side of the toilet because it was just not ladylike to make splashing noises. I never forgot that, even till today! :p

Also, I have very vivid memories of bringing Shelly to doggie training on Sundays. We’d pack some food (we used to bug your mum to let us bring those cheese stick things!) and roll up a mat and have a picnic on the grass. I used to look forward to those Sundays so much. πŸ™‚

Also, those countless letters that we wrote each other while you were in Sydney. You included me in this Penpals’ Group thing and taught me what PTO was. We’d draw tons of funny pictures. Like you would draw a mouse and say ‘this is my mouse’ and a duckling and say ‘this is my duck’! Most hilarious!

Many memories, I could go on forever!

WHAT?! I do NOT remember the peeing thing… hahahah πŸ˜›

Err what’s PTO? How come you have such a good memory of all this stuff?? My memory’s sooooo bad πŸ™ Or maybe we just remember different stuff, haha

I remember that you posted a lot of pictures from one of the entries that was left open. Not too many people do that. It’s neat seeing that y’all do a lot of stuff just like us, buy the same things, eat the same food, have the same woes.

There are men on my blog. They’d think it was some sort of trick question if I asked them that.

*lol* πŸ™‚
Yeah I don’t tend to post too many public photos anymore.. I used to not care about who saw them, but now that I’m a bit older I get more paranoid!

never met you in person..

but you’re the girl who can eat a lot and doesn’t grow fat (you’re not fat to me!). πŸ™‚

And hehe, Chris and I are like old people, we get grouchy if people us are too noisy, lol!!

I remember the first time that I was reading a post that you had put up in louis_vuitton and I thought, “Hey, she’d be a very cool LJ friend- her life looks so fun.”

It turned out that we had way more in common than just our purse obsession. Hehe, I did this so that I didn’t have to pick just one memory (that’s hard to do) :P!!

I’ve met lots of fashion-savvy friends, and turned out we had way more in common than just that. That’s what I love about LJ πŸ™‚

Hmm.,let’s see… I remember your name coming up a lot in my first days on MUA, which was… more than four years ago now. I was so impressed by your collection of makeup, especially your UD face cases. Of course, now I’ve amassed enough of my own to practically start a shop, but still.

I remember quite a few tidbits from your LJ too… I rarely post anymore, but I always enjoy reading about what you’re up to or what you’re eating. It’s even inspired me to eat Char Kway Tiew! =9

I sold most of my UD face cases, only 2 left now :X

Haha do you like Char Kway Teow? It’s nice but I don’t ADORE it.. but Chris goes NUTS for it πŸ˜›

I’ve been reading you practically forever. Ages and ages ago you had a web page that was all pink and really girly and I loved it. I have no idea how I ever came across you in the first place, but I’ve enjoyed reading about your life over the years. I haven’t commented on anything until more recently, but I’ve been reading all along. I feel like some day I should better introduce myself, especially since I rarely write in my own LJ.
