The weather is nice! We went to the ocean yesterday and it was a bit too cold for swimming, but otherwise very comfortable.

I only have sporadic Internet at this point, though; sorry it took so long to respond!

I hope you had a FABULOUS birthday!! Also, pink diamonds are supposed to be more precious – but be careful. If you’re going to spend that much, and particularly if they’re claiming they’re real pink diamonds, get them independently valued. You’ll be okay with anything from Tiffanys. But how sweet that he saw a ring and thought of you. How nice!!

It was a swish store, so I reckon they bump up the prices too.. if I went to a ‘regular’ jewellery store, I think it’d be cheaper!

Chris does know my taste.. and he likes whitegold/pink on me anyway πŸ˜›

Looks like a fabulous celebration, and I know you’ll have many, many more like this! :)))

HIP HIP HOORAAY! Happy 24th!

i can’t beleive you love kingsford chinese too..it’s like ‘my’ restaurant too! no one bothers to ask me where i want to eat anymore, they know ill always say there! and i agree, definately the best sun dong chicken in sydney!

Oooooo I didn’t know you went to Kingsford Chinese too! The food is so good hey.. what else do you like there? We only ever have these dishes:

beef steak with honey pepper
sweet and sour fish
sang tung chicken
peking pork ribs

wanna try something new πŸ˜›

yep it’s soo yum, and best of all it’s extra quick and cheap so i mostly go there for lunch at uni- so i mainly go for noodles (my must have is braised duck noodles). next time im there for dinner im going to try the sweet and sour fish since i absolutely love their sweet and sour pork (best in sydney, but im so embarassingly unasian..!)

Ahhhh i’ve never tried the braised duck noodles or sweet sour pork!!!! So trying that next time.. i normally don’t like to get the pork at restaurants cos many times it’s all full of flour or fat, bleh

happy blessed birthday!!!

Pink diamonds are rarer and do cost more, but probably nowhere near what the salesperson claimed. You were wise to pass, but Chris has good taste. You might show him pink tourmaline. I bet he likes that equally well and it’s also uncommon but less pricey. Since you will have more birthdays and anniversaries he will need gifts for… πŸ˜‰

Happy Halloween to all as well!

Yeah I dunno about the “millions” claim.. stuff like that makes me suspcious. It WAS a nice ring, but I can’t make decisions like that in 15 mins! I like to take my time πŸ™‚

Happy Birthday Bev! πŸ˜›

Glad you had a good time!

p/s: pink diamonds do cost that much, however depends on the C’s as well πŸ™‚

I cannot believe you can’t remember! WE DID go! just before that we had such a thing about parking cos we went wrong street or something like that… we ate so much there. we also went to Bills. that was yummy too!

I was impressed he thought of and arranged everything.. esp since he always declares he doesn’t know what to do for occasions! πŸ˜›

Happy Birthday Beverly. Bills was where we had our first meal when we reached Sydney for our honeymoon. πŸ˜€ We had the scrambled eggs there and it was FANTASTIC.

Wow, sounds like a fun fun day!

Hey, if you want diamonds, I don’t think Tiffany diamonds are that cheap anyway. $2k will probably only get you small diamonds.

I’m pretty sure I saw some diamond earrings/necklaces/bracelets there that were about $2k! Hmm.. will go on Thurs and see.. I certainly don’t want anything more $$ than that, it’s already really $$ to me :X

hold on….

i was just re-reading the comments sections(i don’t like to be influence by other commenters ….err…comments/ thoguhts) and i feel that everyone can have goals, but life is not about goals. its about living the years, months, days, hours, minutes and blah blah.

if we are so hung up about getting. hitting the yardstick of whatever we set ourselves, we end up not experiencing the really important stuff. the friendships we make, the thrilling encounters we still remember til now, the highest of highs and the lowest of lows. no one remembers school days and thinks about the high score on thier test papers. but all remember the kindest teachers, the first crush and hte most embrassessing time that we forgot our lines at the school play. (that’s just me i think).

this is not to say taht goals aren’t important in Life. but its a guideline. not a set point. its shifts and it fluctuates. no one said getting married at 24 was THe BEST time. no one said having 2.5 kids, a two door garage condo with a beach view and white picket fences was the norm. the norm is often the most misrepresented word in modern times i think.

so how many best friends have you got after 24 years of being alive? i think that the best yardstick of being successful. remember a good friend will wash the dishes for you, a best friend will move a body for you. hehehhe

Re: hold on….

I think it’s really important to set goals, as that’s how you improve and grow yourself. But life doesn’t totally revolve around goals either, I just feel it’s enhanced but not constrained by them πŸ™‚

Happy Birthday! :)))

Glad you had a fantastic day! I’ve been to the Kingsford area for Chinese. I can’t remember if it is this specific restaurant, but yeah, the food was good!

Happy Birthday! It sounds like you’ve had an excellent day.

Bills looks excellent, especially the hot chocolate with Callebaut chocolates. With jewelry, it hard to say whether you are getting your value unless its about the 4C’s.

I’m jealous that Chris treated you to a massage, I’ve been coveting one for ages – but I think its an overindulgence. I’m looking forward to seeing what you and Chris pick from Tiffany’s.

The food at Kingsford Chinese looks great, and its cool how you have “your” place. .

Excellent entry.

Chris didn’t like the hot choc, but I did :)~

It’s so hard to actually set time aside to get a massage, isn’t it.. I want to do it every month or so though!
