Poor Bev!!! US airports are not that friendly and are awful. I don’t like them too. I feel really stressed out every time I travel so it’s not only you. The only airport that I don’t feel stressed out is Changi. I hope your shopping is going to be good and hopefully you’re feeling better today.

I think your reaction at the airport was totally normal if you were tired, and anxious ! It was definately not your fault that your colleague had to wait for you, I guess he understood that it was out of your control right ?

He understood, but I totally ruined his 1st day in the USA (the airport and hotel are so far apart!) and I feel bad :X too bad he’s not a girl, or Id’ get him a bunch of flowers as thanks!

What a horrible experience πŸ™ I m glad you managed well after all. Have a very nice & day of sight seeing!
BTW how long does it take from Australia to Fiji?

Hi Bev.. I’m confused. Did you go back to San Jose AGAIN? after just coming back from there not long ago? πŸ™‚

I definitely know for one how you feel hun, travelling does take it out of you.. especially icky delays. Fingers crossed for a safe, speedy return.

(PS. Skybeds rock!)

I’m so sorry to hear about your crappy experience!!!! *big hug* at least you got to San Jose safe and sound πŸ™‚

Too bad you can’t fly in to San Jose directly and avoid the hour long cab ride… seeing how you aren’t having much luck with cabs. Dang Bev, I feel really bad for you. I need to give you my phone number… I live near SF airport. So if you need a ride or anything else, at least you’d have someone to contact in the area to help you out.

Anyhow, I hope your visit is a good one… email me if you need anything.

Aww thanks Greg *hugs*
I FINALLY found my colleage and he has a car, so at least we’ve got transport. Except he’s never been to the USA before and I have no sense of direction, so we’re relying on his car’s GPS system. lol, hope it’s a good one!!

Well if you have a GPS, you’re good to go. You can’t get too lost. 101 and 280 are the major freeways. Take either of those North and you’re heading to San Francisco from San Jose, take them South to head towards Los Angeles. West takes you to the ocean, East takes you inland… towards New York. πŸ™‚

Like I said, you can’t get too lost… so maybe you’ll discover something fun. Also, if you’re going into the City, you can always drive to Millbrae (via 101N) and take BART, the transit system, which will take you to downtown shopping.

Have fun.

Haha.. i’ll get to NY if we drive a few days!:P Wish it was closer, I’d love to swing by.
It’s either Gilroy or Great Mall today, whichever is cooler.. haven’t decided yet. Can’t wait πŸ˜€

Argh… This is awful. I can totally understand how you feel. I was stuck in Xiamen en route to Beijing and they airport staff just cannot decide which gate we should get on for the flight to Beijing. That was so much milder than yours but never failed to make me really upset about their efficiency. Just glad that you are safe. It’s never easy travelling alone.

Airlines always do that and they never compensate, which makes it really frustrating because you’re paying them, but subject to their whims :X Ahh!

Seem like you two are lost in transition, it is indeed a terrible situation to be in πŸ™

OMG, u r now officially the flying-saleswoman !

hopping between Southern and Northern Hemisphere in short period πŸ˜›

BevAir – a great way to fly !!! hehehe
