Bev, I know this is impatient, but I have an opportunity to get the Benefit concealer. What do you think of it, so far?

Ooh, I think I might try the Dior foundation! It sound fun. hehe.
I’m surprised the Lancome doesn’t work! Their products are usually so amazing.

Yeah, I was sad it didn’t work considering it’s specifically for dark circles πŸ™ Well, still on the hunt for something that works!

You made my lemming for the Dior foundation go sky high, I’m just very worried about breakouts. I might go try out that Benefit concealer too, I just got an email from the benefit site yesterday, if you spend $50 on their site you get that concealer free.

Prob with the foundation is that you can’t really take home a sample :X I suppose go in for a makeover and see if you break out from it?

Hee that’s exactly how I ‘discovered’ that benefit concealer, from that email! I wish I lived in the USA..

Thanks for providing a review of Dior’s new foundation. I will try to see if I can get it at duty free. I leave first thing tomorrow morning. Super excited but haven’t packed yet! I used to use Shiseido’s concealer and loved it especially because it matches my skintone and is not cakey. Have you tried it yet?

Lucky you!! Don’t go too crazy at duty free, heheh. HOpefully they have it there.

I haven’t tried Shiseido’s concealer. Does it last right to the end of day? The Estee Lauder one I use lasts to about dinnertime, and so far it’s the longest lasting one I’ve found yet!

I promise I won’t go crazy at Duty Free. I only use the concealer to conceal zits and it does quite a good job. I have extremely dry skin so anything I put on my face because really flaky looking after a while. You could go by the Shiseido counter and give it a try.

Wow! That foundation spray sounds really neat! That’s interesting how you don’t have to blend. I have VERY minimal experience with make-up since I never really wear it (too lazy!! haha). Do you think it would be good for a beginner?

Yeah I thought with a spray I’d HAVE to blend.. but surprisingly after a few uses I really got the hang of it. I think it’ll take you a few tries too, but ti’s pretty easy to apply, a LOT easier than blending and blending a liquid/cream foundation

Yeah, I don’t have a clue how to blend and match the right shade of foundation to my skin =Þ I’ll need tons of help from the make up counter person!

i was just in sydney two weeks ago, and me and my bf were wondering who Mother Chu (or Zhu ma ma) was. hehe. Sydney has loads of good food. I tried Makato (sp?)sushi bar and billy kwong.. they were really good!

Anyway, where can i get the Ettusais Eye zone treatment from? it sounds good.

Sydney does have some great food! So many cultures here so you’ll never get bored of just one type of cuisine.

I don’t think Ettusais sells in Australia.. so try Makeupalley.com, ebay.com.. hopefully one will have it!

awe no food pics? well i’m taiwanese! i love that deep fried dough thing, you’re suppose to eat that for breakfast with the white soy bean milk, sweeet one, yummy. the szcheuan resturant here that made the yummy beef noodle closed down! I am so sad…now where will i go for beef noodle?
I’ve been wondering about the dior spray, but hey i guess if it works i should look into it, being that i am a poor student now. does it stand up well to humidity and stuff? do you have to moisturize before? there’s a heat wave here in nyc, and we’re all melting!

Hee I know, I was thinking of you when I read the sign actually!! I LOVE yiu tiao with some rice congee and soy bean milk in the morning.. mmmmmmmmm….

I can’t say about the Dior spray and humidity, ‘cos it’s winter here πŸ™ I don’t moisturize or use any primer before though!

Promise I will in a few days πŸ™‚ I tested it in the store on my hand and it has a lot more coverage than the YSL and Dior ones, which I like! I found those 2 kinda useless :X

I went to the counter in the city (at Wisma Atria) and the SA was so nice!! And loaded me with samples too πŸ™‚ Most SA’s in SG just stare at me nastily, lol

Hehe it’s a small world! I kinda stopped trying out cosmetics for awhile.. but now i’mi nterested in it again πŸ˜›

I asked about the Diorskin flash here. The lady at the Dior counter say that they carry it only in some of the markets here.

I quit wearing foundation for the longest while because of matching problem (just wore translucent powder to get a finish). I recently took up wearing the powder BareEscentuals. It’s pretty good. You don’t have to get it on your hands. It still doesn’t quite match though.

That’s the beef i have with foundations.. It’s really hard to get a formula you like AND in a matching color! I like Bare Escentual’s translucent powder and the warm powder (bronzer).. i mix both together for a subtle bronzer and it takes the tzone shine away too!

I’ll post in a few days with a review πŸ™‚
I can CP it for you, but it’s more $$ than it is in the USA. I think you’ll be the medium color, that’s what I am and I think we’re fairly similar in skintone!

The foundation looks interesting but I’m afraid they most likely won’t have my color. *sigh* It saddens me more companies don’t make colors for darker skintones.

I can’t wait for your reviews on the concealer. Can’t seem to find a concealer that works for me! I have the worst dark circles ever. πŸ™ People who complain about theirs just need to look at mine to feel blessed. πŸ˜›

Mine’s real awful to πŸ™ I’ve found Estee Lauder’s Double Wear concealer (white bottle, gold cap) is by far the longest lasting.. and I’ve tried nearly every concealer known to man, haha!

Oh, I assure you yours isn’t even a tenth as awful as mine. πŸ˜› At least I don’t see them in pictures!

Will check out Estee Lauder’s concealer. Am using Bobbi Brown’s and it emphasised lines I didn’t even know I have!

Yeah I found BB’s concealer was too thick and cakey for me.. it’s hard finding a balance – we need at thick concealer yet it can’t look obvious and, well, thick!

i’ve stopped using the eye treatment a while ago. after a few months using it, it made my entire eyes watery and itchy immediately after putting it on! its like i’ve suddenly developed a kind of allergic reaction to it? i hate it. what a waste of good money.

the concealer looks promising’! can’t wait to hear what you have to say about it πŸ™‚

I like it as an eye cream, but it did nothing. Meh!

I just updated this post with more reviews.. I’m wondering if this Benefit concealer will outperform these ones?! I’ll report in a few days πŸ˜›

It’s horridly expensive in Australia.. AU$39, but real cheap in the States, only US$18! But it had good reviews so keen to see if it works for me, I’ll use it tomorrow morning πŸ™‚

I definitely will! So far, Estee Lauder’s double wear concealer (in a white square container with a gold cap) is the longest lasting by far for me.. keen to see if this is as good πŸ˜›

I also updated my post with reviews if you’re interested!
