McDonalds here may introduce new things often, but many are regional and only tested in one part of the USA or another so not everyone gets all of them anyway unless it’s a national roll out which is rarer. Plus we have no discount/VIP card here at all. As the leader in fast food sales they apparently feel it is not needed.
In my new area, which is Arizona btw, they have Sonic. Sonic is a drive through fast food joint which serves grilled food. They have everything from breakfast to BLTs to burgers and franks, and the most amazing drinks. You can get everything from slush, to slush with real fruit in it, to shakes, to limeades with various additives such as cherry limeade and strawberry limeade. They also have cherry coke, lime coke, chocolate coke, etc. and can modify most any drink on their list with syrup additives. They also have choices for how to spice up orange juice. A burger, fries and drink runs me about $3.25 and like the old 50s diners they come carrying it out to my car.
They have them everywhere and so far I have eaten at 3 of them within about 50 blocks of each other. Don’t think I will be eating at McDonalds anytime soon as this is faster, has more choices and is the same price or cheaper.
