I have a similar Canon camera and it’s amazing. I think it’s probably the best brand of camera’s for the moment. 🙂

I’ve just signed up to take survey’s as well. I hope I’ll be as lucky as you!

I have a Cannon IXUS 500, it’s small but not compact enough to fit into your pocket which I’m bummed about. I’d go with the Casio Exlim or the new Panasonic one that is out, can’t remember the name tho, my bf got it when we were in Japan. It’s gorgeous and thin and 5 mega pixels.

It’s Panasoic Lumix FX-7, it’s only available in Japan at the moment tho 🙁 I thought it would be here by now. It’s very small, it can fit it into the back pocket of my Sass & Bide East Village Hipster jeans (which are kinda snug fitting)

heh good decisions, at least! let’s put it this way – if i didn’t already own as much fine jewelry (thanks mum and aunt!) as it is, i would splurge on that. but if you don’t really have nice jewelry, then the jewelry is a good way to go.

          • beverly posted on December 21, 2004 at 1:10 am

Well, I figure a girl can never have too much white gold or diamonds right? 😀

          • pei posted on December 21, 2004 at 1:17 am

yeah, but wouldn’t you rather splurge on like 18k white gold than 14k white gold? i also don’t particularly trust buying jewelry (esp. gold and diamonds) without seeing it up close either.

          • beverly posted on December 21, 2004 at 1:19 am

Ya I see your point.. it’s either a digicam (good ‘cos I want one as my old one’s yuck, bad ‘cos I technically don’t need one since I already have 5 digicams), or jewellery (good ‘cos it’s pretty, bad ‘cos I can’t see it in real life). So hard to decide 🙁 Seriously thinking of getting the mini digicam (as the Olympus is US$318! My g/c is only $300) AND jewellery.. that way I can get both 😛

          • pei posted on December 21, 2004 at 1:23 am

HAH it *would* be nice wouldn’t it? but either way, i’m sure you’ll make the right choice for you…though i know which way i’d be inclined if that $300 were mine!!!! 😉

I have that prob with my camera too (Fujifilm 4.0 finepix) – pics inside (esp in low lighting) turn out dodgy.. and are really dark 🙁

That’s the Olympus right?? What’s it like – quality wise, and usage wise?? Tossing up between a digicam or jewellery..

oh it’s amazing (yes it’s the Olympus). it’s small (the size of my palm and i have small hands), light, and very easy to handle. check my latest entry for a link to the official website with the specs…it’s 4.0MB, with 8x optical zoom. it also has a function that allows you to record as much video as your memory card allows (on my 512 MB, it’s about 30 min est.). it’s SO damn sexy!

Yeah I saw it in the stores and it was soooo sweet. I actually DO have a digicam but it’s bigger than this one! Ahh decisions decisions 😉

heh good decisions, at least! let’s put it this way – if i didn’t already own as much fine jewelry (thanks mum and aunt!) as it is, i would splurge on that. but if you don’t really have nice jewelry, then the jewelry is a good way to go.

LUCKY! I haven’t gotten more than a buck or two from gozing.com… whats your trick??? By the way, I’d go with the third camera… the olympus one. Thats sharp, and olympus is a great brand. While the jewelry is tantalizing, the camera is functional and would be a wise way to spend the money. 😀 let us know what you choose!

I found out it was ‘cos I won the $300 for referring a friend, it was a lucky draw. No wonder, was wondering what sort of secrets I gave away if it really was for a survey, lol!!

Is the Olympus you have super small too? Anything 3MP or more is fine with me.. the main thing is that it has to be damn tiny 😉
