I think I prefer the indoor pool.. that way I can use it year-round, instead of 2 months in the whole year :T

And I SO WANT a dog!

Yeah exactly.. in SG everything will be double the cost and I woudln’t really want to pay that.. and I don’t want to take my parents money either. So the best solution is to just live somewhere nice in AU πŸ˜›

I like that pool but I wonder how often I’d use it.. we have a pool at my current place but I’ve used it a grand total of twice the entire year!

I love the bathroom.. a bit small, but VERY VERY NICE. Looks really classy!

Just get a pet, they wouldn’t know unless one of the residents complain.. so, if you really want a pet, should get one that doesn’t make too much noise.. I find the yelping of small dogs are really high and loud …. Should get a cat!! hehe.. they hardly make any noise, and you don’t have to take them out for walkies, so, your neighbours wouldn’t even know they are around! nod!

Ooo you know what? I was actually really surprised ‘cos the bathrooms were so big! But couldn’t get a proper pic πŸ™ but it goes all the way round beyond the pic.. I liked the shower ‘cos you can fit about 3 people in it, lol. Unfortunately the sink is small – apparently the modern design or something, hrmm..

Haha you are so evil to say I can get a pet without telling anyone !:P If they find out I reckon they’ll chuck me out. What if they come round for an inspection of the place? I’m SO tempted though………..

Re: hey?

Oh cool! Basically all the apartments near the train station.. the one with the indoor pool is the Meriton apartments 0 like you said πŸ™‚ In particular I like the Eden block. The landlord pays for maintenance so thankfully I don’t see the cost. Yeah there’s a security guy in the front, he’s nice πŸ™‚

How dyou find the Waitara area? It’s not dodgy or has lots of crime or anything does it? It looks like a really lovely suburb to me (and love how it’s close to Westfield!) but I guess since you were there almost every day you’ll have the best opinion!

Good luck getting your new apartment! It looks really nice. Those puppies are cute! Are you allowed to have pets in the apartments? That would be nice. And so are the pools.

Oooh, furniture shopping is so much fun! Very close to the same high as shopping!

Hey thanks πŸ™‚ It’s fun and a headache finding an apt, all at the same time. Dunno if I’m allowed a dog but I’ll sure as hell beg and plead!

woooooo……

with those kinda amneties you’d expect to be paying lots for strata πŸ™ sigh…. I’m looking for a house to buy at the moment. But alas.. houses are sOooooOoooooo expensive these days!!! As a percentage of income, I think our generation accrues more debt than our forefathers.. sad thought really πŸ™

Besides I think I’ll wait until the uncertainty of a Federal election subsides before making a decision on what to do with my hard earned cash πŸ™‚

Re: woooooo……

Fortunately the landlord pays maintenance (probably factored into my rent though).. I don’t want to buy just yet as I still might return to SG sometime in the future. I just don’t know :T And yeah, the thought of being in debt after buying property kinda scares me.

Oh man! Get the apt! They look so divine! I like the last pics, I simply adore labradors.

Hey, is it really cheaper to live in Aussie? Dennis and I are like thinking if its possible I would really love to migrate to aus.. if we are wealthy of course. it might be hard for me to find a job there..

I love labs too πŸ™‚ But can’t have one in an apt as they’ll need a backyard πŸ™ So if I’m allowed, I might get a small dog or something.. but still not sure.

It’s a lot cheaper to live in AU – lots of SG’eans migrate here for that reason. I just find that in AU, you get the wonderful weather and lovely atmosphere and living which you can’t get in SG – no matter how much you pay. I actually know a few ppl that moved to AU then got a job – it’s a lot easier to get one when you’re already here, rather than applying from SG. I really love AU, but I gotta admit I miss SG like hell too πŸ™

Hmm.. that’s a big incentive for me then. Cheaper living. I know the tax bit sucks but I think having a job in AU and staying there will be much more afforable and relazed. in SG, we are all rats man.

I especially liked the bathroom too πŸ™‚ Those apts are totally black/grey/white themed and it’s so classy IMHO, I really like it. I’m already thinking of how to decorate it, how sad is that? lol

The apartments look great, Bev. πŸ™‚ I especially love the bathroom! Sooo pretty. I’m moving soon and I can’t wait to decorate either, although I know my room is just all off-white walls. Hehe.

It’s amazing how time flies by SO fast, really. Now you’re renting on your own, being financially independent…awesome, but at the same time, daunting. Part of me can’t wait for that, the other part wants to stay young and be free from the responsibilties of the adult world. Ahhh. :))

That apartment looks a little like mine. Then again most new apartments in Australia look more or less the same I think. I love my current apartment, but although I’m paying heaps for it there isn’t any facilities like the pool and gym at all. Sux. Can’t wait till the apartment we’re buying is ready in 2006. Anyway the puppy in the middle is adorable! Some sort of maltese/shih tzu breed I’m guessing. I’ve been wanting to buy one for more than a year but I’m actually not supposed to keep pets in my apartment. We’re probably still gonna get one at the end of the year though. πŸ˜›

Why is your apt $$ but without facilities? Is it really near the city or something? To be honest, it’s NICE having a pool/gym, but not sure how often I’d use it.. for starters, Iv’e used my current pool only twice this year :X

Yeah the puppy is maltese/shihtzu/silkyterrier mix.. and it doesn’t grow much bigger. Cute πŸ˜›

If your landlord doesn’t allow pets, how do you get around it? Mine doesn’t either but I really want one πŸ™ Considering calling them and saying my bf got me one for my bday so then I don’t have a choice but to keep it, right?

Yeah, it’s just at the border of the city. Takes me just 10 mins to walk down or a 5 mins tram ride away. Plus it’s right smack between 2 universities. It’s probably still cheaper than a city apartment in Sydney though.

Well I used to have a dog at my old apartment. I just leave it at a friend’s house whenever there’s an inspection. However at my new apartment there is a building manager so I dunno if he will report me to my landlord. I have a friend in the same building who have gotten away with it though. And I’m thinking I’ll probably leave the dog at my bf’s place half the time since he lives in a house with a backyard and all.

Think hard if you really want a dog. It’s not easy when you’re working full time. A dog need heaps of attention, especially when it’s a puppy. If you don’t spend enough time with it it could develop behavioural problems, especially if it’s cooped up in an apartment with no one around most of the time.

Oooo it’ll be SO nice to live near the city, but it’s not feasible for me when I live by myself – far too $$ :T

Yeah I’ve heard people can have pets and just pop them somewhere if there’s an inspection. I’m not sure if I can do that though.. I just feel bad, y’know? I don’t have the guts πŸ˜›

If i get a pet most likely it’ll be a cat as they’re more independant than a dog.. will DEF get a dog(s) when I have a family though πŸ™‚
