    What’s steam boat?

My first rule in buying clothes nowadays is that I can wear it to work, since that’s where I spend 99% of my waking time anyway, so it just makes sense. I can’t stand buying clothes that just sit in the closet and are never worn. That’s my rule too, hence logo shirts rarely make the cut and I only have 2 pairs of jeans in my wardrobe.

Steam boat is when you have a pot of boiling broth in the middle of the table, sitting on top of this heater thing (the heater thing + bowl = steam boat). Then you just dip in slivers of raw food (chicken, beef, prawns, vegies, etc, etc, etc) and cook it up and dip it in sweet chilli or soy sauce. It’s REALLY nice and fun to have in a group ‘cos you all cook together and stuff 🙂

I just bought the Rebecca bag (first of the tiny pics you posted) in Sydney 2 weeks back. Love it! It’s my fave out of all my S & R bags at the moment. The first pic you posted is the Bea bag, it’s cheaper because it’s from the Mademoiselle range which I find not as well made and exquisite as the Spencer & Rutherford range. I actually don’t like the new season stuff as much, the previous few seasons were so much better. You should check out the S & R store at Bondi Junction, they have previous season stock at 20-30% off, that’s where I bought my bag. 🙂

Hey you know what? I think it was you that posted the pic that I saw.. and I was like “meh. It looks boring”. But then I saw the bag in real life and it was SO NICE!! I dunno if it’s just me, but S&R bags are so different in real life when you can really see the colors and feel the fabric and the gorgeous feeling of the bags.

The other S&R range at AH didn’t grab me though 🙁 Nice, but either I couldn’t match it to my outfits or they weren’t appropriate for work. Chris got me the Lollipop one I was eyeing though!! 😀 But I want to go to Bondi now to see the proper S&R bags 😉

Oh yes, S&R bags definitely look much better in person. The photos can’t capture the exquisite details of the bags. Nothing in the current new range has caught my eyes yet though. Go check out the store at Bondi, you’ll love it I assure you. Heaps more bags than what they sell at AH. 🙂

Exactly! And it just sucks that I get into S&R when the current season isn’t as good 🙁 I’m going to Bondi this weekend or next.. gotta convince Chris and drag the poor boy there 😉

Oh!!!! Is that Korean place any good? I saw another Korean one, a BBQ place I think, that was around the corner of the roundabout at the bottom of the street. It was PACKED, so thinking of going there and trying it out.

Welcome to the S&R fan club – I consider myself an absolute addict. I have about 8 of their bags 🙂 I emailed you a pic of my most recent addition!

I like the new Alannah Hill range, though I think the tangerine-pink cord suit with the dalmatian trim was a little OTT, at least for my demure work environment anyway!
