Why have so many people said that?! I’m not sure if I’ve been to Fraser Island before (bad memory) but I never knew about the dingoes 😉 Well, at least they’re cute!

        Hmm… kind of cute.

Nine-year-old Clinton Gage was mauled to death by a dingo on Fraser Island in 2001.

On second thoughts, just wanted to let you know I’m not trying to scare you! But the dingo mauling was big news when it happened – hence all the comments I guess. 😉 I don’t think there’s really any danger as long as you remember they’re wild animals and keep a reasonable distance. It’s not like they just attack people for the sake of it.

Hi! Been randomly reading your journal for a while. Check this out too! Apparently, the shell tourist center here helps you to book the accomodation, tours, etc at no extra cost. But, you’ll have to give them a budget etc.

Oooo thanks! I passed the info on to my mum 🙂 We’re deciding between a 2-day thing, so we can stay at Fraser ISland.. or a day trip, where we’ll just drive there for the day.

Wow, the beaches look like heaven. I’m sure you’ll enjoy relaxing after the hard work you put into finding the e-bay job and working there. Anyways, also I like your new icon.

lol! Well Chris and my mum and dad will be there with me so it’s not too bad.. I’m not really hooked on my mobile, since most of my friends are on ICQ or MSN anyway. Thanks for the warning though, I’ll let my friends know before I go!

I’ve just travelled overland from Sydney to Cairns and spent 2 days on Fraser Island. It was easily the most beautiful place I went to on the trip. I seriously recommend staying there for as long as you possibly can – it’ll prob work out slightly more expensive, but I can promise you that if you don’t, you’ll regret it.

Enjoy your trip – am so jealous!! Lake Mackenzie is beautiful!
