hi, it’s Anita again – you might remember that a few entries ago you directed me to find Krispy Kreme?just wanted to let you know that yesterday I finally made it there, bought a dozen and I’m a convert! They are fantastic!! Now another question, where abouts is Max Brenner?? Sorry to keep asking these things but your entries make everything in Sydney sound so good!

(And am going to try and find that Bravo place too, as I’m currently staying only about 10 mins walk from Crows Nest!!)

xx

Woo hoo!!! Glad you like the donuts πŸ™‚

Max Brenner is at Chatswood, in Chatswood Chase. There’s a train straight there or you can go by car (3hrs free parking). They’re at the end, just ask around if you can’t find it. The Souffle, the fondue, and the suckao are not to be missed! πŸ˜€

And at Bravos, try the Tiramisu, it is SO good :)~

Perhaps one day after you get a permanent position you could work on a cosmetic/fashion line. I really don’t think its out of your limits!

hehe,I bought a Care Bear a couple months ago. They are too cute and bring back all those childhood memories! I didn’t know they brought back Transformers..thats good to know πŸ˜‰

Maybe I can do online IT or online marketing for a cosmetics/fashion brand, that would be cool πŸ™‚

I love all the 80s toys, wish they would bring them all back!

“(just knowing a lot about fashion/cosmetics just doesn’t count!) nor do I have the contacts.” I think knowing a lot about fashion/cosmetics does count for alot. There’s a lot of people out there that don’t have the same expertise as you. I think you probably have more contacts than you might think, this livejournal probably reaches more people than you know. You could always partner up with someone that has a degree in fashion/cosmetics and start up a company that way.

It’s SO hard to start out though.. I was talking to Rebecca (the owner of Becca Cosmetics) and she said it took her years and years just to get started, not to mention the cost involved :T But that’s always an option I’d love to follow some day!

Sea Urchin

I actually love raw sea urchins. The Japanese eat it like sashimi or you can also get it as a sushi. Most places outside of Japan don’t really sell very fresh sea urchin (not sure about Australia) but do try it the next time you go to a sushi place. The ones I’ve tried in Japan are soooo sweet and so succulent but also so expensive. Enjoy…

Re: Sea Urchin

Yeah, the guy on tv ate it as sashimi! I always thought they ate sea urchin meat though, not just the egg.. I’m going to have to check it out when I’m next at Prymont fish markets πŸ™‚

Micropets are great! I’ve got two of the original set — Moshi and Coco. Moshi is the UK release and Coco is a US import, so they both sing different songs. Have you tried clapping fives (with a half second gap between each clap) times to Nacho? That’s how you get them to sing. XD So sweet.
I think it’s possible to rename thm as well, as long as the name sounds a bit the same. I’ve renamed ‘Moshi’ to ‘Menchi,’ and he responds fine. πŸ˜€

I think the orignal MicroPets do the same things as the current ones. From what I can tell on the website, they do. All the ‘walk’, ‘run’ ‘you’re a good dog / cat / mouse’ commands, etc.
It would have been great to have these about 10 years ago. Although I think I’d have saved up and bought them ALL when I was 8 or 9. XD

funny how Straits & Alice’s are right near each other.

have you tried the Istana restaurant? its a Malay/Chinese mix

yep about 200 metres up pennant hills rd, the in the block with the restruants & video easy, just before you get to mcdonalds.
