congrats on your job offerings bev~! either way, these are great opportunities –you’ll be successful either way :] good luck with this!

Thanks for the vote of confidence πŸ™‚ I AM worried about making decisions but hopefully everthing will be fine!

I suppose there are pros and cons to every option… Both are really great opportunities, so I think it will be great whatever you choose. Good luck deciding! I’m the most indecisive person ever, and for an important thing like this… o.O

Haha exactly, I hate how everything has cons!! I’m really bad at decision making and I umm and ahhh about it for ages..

Big decisions are always majorly tough and leave you feeling doubtful. But it sounds to me like you made the right choice. Try not to worry! Best of luck in getting the Ebay position for when you come back from Singapore.

Yeah, I’m just scared as I’ve never made big decisions in my life before, at least not as big as this. But I THINK I made the right choice, at least I hope so!

Your whole career doesn’t necessarily rest on one decision on one job. You have your whole life ahead of you which I’m sure you will have tons of great opportunities. Either way, I don’t think you can make a wrong decision because you like all of the options. Its like picking between ice cream and cake πŸ™‚

I know what you said make sense.. but it’s still scary as I’m still really in the start of my career so I’m not used to making decisions like these.. Mainly worried about burning my bridge with Ebay as I REALLY want to work for them in the future!

Wow, you are truly fortunate to have such great opportunities! Congrats! I was just wondering.. what kind of degree did you pursue in college?

I did Computer Science and Psychology.. they were OK but I didn’t really enjoy Uni that much, I prefered the social life πŸ˜› The work was actually quite boring..

Hey Bev:)
Well, no one said working life was EVER going to be easy…:P
But, I really do appreciate your thinking though. You are one young woman who has a head on her shoulders:)
Yes, working for E bay will be fun and all that, but you were right in saying that you would want experience at this stage in your career. Let’s face it, in your field especially since so many ppl are now going into the many aspects of IT, it would be a big bonus for you to have the experience in addition to your degree, because, hey…anyone can get the degree, its always the experience that counts, and that is what you seem to go after.
Like you said, you could always re apply to E bay, once you finish your stint in Singapore, right.
So, if you’ve made up your mind, stick by it and go all out for it.
All the best:)

Yeah sometimes I miss being a kid with no issues… but then life is SO much fun like it is now too πŸ˜› Not to mention earning money, lol!

I am DEFINITELY reapplying for Ebay and HP when I return.. and crossing my fingers and hoping Ebay won’t be annoyed at me and blacklist me from future positions πŸ˜‰

The position is in Online IT so I’ll still use IT skills, but not as much as if I’d gone for a developer role.. but I’m trying to get into online marketing and IT as it’s much more fun πŸ˜›

Actually, I think doing online marketing/IT for a fashion or beauty company would be AMAZING!!

Beverly- all 3 positions are with GREAT companies, so I don’t think you need to stress at all. Do you know how much a person like me would kill to work for any of the three?! and here you are getting offers by all of them! I don’t think there are any wrong decisions because if something is supposed to happen, it will always find a way.

Those 3 companies are my top 3, so I’m happy with that πŸ™‚ I think all of them are really dynamic, forward thinking, and have great people and work culture. It’s only luck on my part though, trust me!, as I only graduated recently so it’s not like I’ve had THAT much work experience πŸ™‚ You should try applying for them too!
