umm actually most sizes are labelled much smaller than the actual sizing. also they are nevr long enough to cover even short-waisted girls stomachs.

Hi Beverly, I came across your lj by chance few months ago and been reading ever since! Anyway, just thought I wanted to share something I read from somewhere not so long ago (can’t remember where). If I remember accurately, I think suede boots, once stained, remain stained forever. So you have to be extra careful everytime you have it on. But since you’re going for black ones, then it shouldn’t be a problem. Good luck finding a pair! – Melisa

hey beverly, I came across your journal from the vogue forums not long ago, and you’ve pretty much inspired me to write in my own one again! If I join LJ I only want to pay for 2 months first, so want to ask if you know if the free accounts that you get after are any good?

About the boots: you seem like a shopaholic(!) so I’m sure that after you’ve bought one pair you’ll find something similar to the pair you didn’t get, and in a different colour, so either way, you win πŸ˜‰

Heya!
The free accounts are pretty good – standard, but you still get to pick a few layouts. Check out the FAQ, they should have comparison and say what the paid accounts have that the free ones don’t..
Hehe naw, I *must* get only ONE pair of boots! Must… have….self….controllll…..

Boutiques

I’ve found boutiques here to be the opposite. A size 10 isn’t really a size 10, but more like an 8 or a 6. It’s really annoying since they don’t stock the “bigger” sizes, when actually they’re not that big at all.

But I suppose there are only those select few who can fit perfectly into everything. Lucky them.

get the soft boots w/the point. dont you know pointy boots are in fashion this year?!??!

Yeah, but I don’t know if I can carry off the whole pointy boot thing. From all the comments though, I think I’ll go for the pull-on ones!

i bought a pair of suede pull up boots recently..they were really comfy when i tried them..i haven’t worn them yet though..i never thought that it might stretch…hope it doesn’t…my legs are thin though lolz

seems like everyone is voting for the pull up boots! go for it!

Suede won’t stretch as much as leather anyway, as far as I know..? I want boots for winter ‘cos they’ll keep my feet nice and warm and I won’t look as kiddish as when I just wear sneakers. The pull-on boots are more expensive, but if they’ll work better, think I’ll get ’em πŸ™‚

Own a pair of pull on boots too and they are so comfy! usually these pull-on boots are treated to not loosen…so i dont think u need to worry about it.

Ooooh goody, that’s what I wanted to hear! I like the pull-ons better but my main problem was whether they’d stretch and gape open at the calvas – not a very attractive look πŸ˜‰

Boots

Hi! I’m a member of MUA(username is celedine – I bought a lip balm from you!)and I love to come here and read your livejournal. (I’m not a stalker, I promise!)

Anyhow, I just thought I’d give my thoughts on the boots. If the zip up ones are made of non-elastic-y leather and they fit just right – no extra space – when you put them on, they may be uncomfortable when you sit down. The leather is shaped so it fits your ankles when you are standing, but when you sit down you may want to bend them more and they won’t move with you, so you will have to unzip to do that (am I making sense?). At least that’s what happens to my friend and her zip up leather boots. Also, for referance I have a pair of pull up boots (not leather though) and they haven’t loosened up any after 2years of wear. Hope that helps at least a little.

Good luck with your boots!

Re: Boots

Heya! Ya I remember you πŸ™‚ Hey i didn’t even think about whether they’d be no space to move around.. I tried another pair and it was REALLY stiff so I couldn’t even walk properly! I’m going back next week anyway ‘cos the zip-up ones are coming next week in my size, so I’ll try both pairs on again and decide. Man, I wish one of them came in a camel color, then I can buy both, one in black and one in camel!
