hey bev-

i was considering buying the same loft bed from ikea that i think you mentioned in a previous entry. was it easy to assemble?

thx for any info..

WEll, you definitely need two people to assemble! But apart from that, it’s not that hard.. just be careful not to screw the stuff back to front :T Takes at least 1-2hrs to build it though.. but it’s cool, I like it πŸ™‚

Need ur help! =)

Hi Bev!Fawn here,I was the one who sent u the list of nice foods found in S’pore, wondering if u still remember me.Anyway, i got an enquiry which I think u could help me solve.I’ll be going Sydney & Brisbane next week & I have no clue what the weather’s like over there now, thus can’t plan my luggage.Could u enlighten me about what the temperature is like over there now? It’ll be greatly appreciated!Thanx!!!

Re: Need ur help! =)

Yeah I remember you! I fwded the list to my mum ‘cos I won’t be back in SG ’till June (ugh), she’s really interested in food and has lots of those sorts of lists and collects them!

About the weather – it’s actually being really weird and cold atm. It was nice and sunny and now suddenly the air’s really chilly. In the sun, it’s not too bad, but in the shade and at night, it definitely warrants a jumper. Check out http://au.weather.yahoo.com/ASXX/ASXX0112/index_c.html and it should give you a run down on the weather predictions πŸ™‚

green eyeshadow lover too~

hey beverly, i saw ur reviews on MUA, and noticed that u use both Stila e/s in Kiwi and Estee Lauder pure eye color e/s in Mint Ice
(gosh, it took me so long to find ppl who use both)

can i just ask which one u recommend more? based on color texture etc.

i’m more into something with less shimmer (of cuz shimmer’s alright if u find it’s nicer) and a pale-to-medium green that i can wear one or two layers just for uni time?

btw, u got lovely skintone, i wish i had more of an olive skin πŸ™
i’m slightly more fair, but not the dead-pale-asian fair yet.

Re: green eyeshadow lover too~

Hiya,

I’d say Stila Kiwi is better. The packaging is nowhere near as cute, but you can just take the pan out and put it in a palette or something like that. I find the Stila is more pigmented and a bit smoother than the Estee Lauder one, even though the Estee Lauder is also really high quality. If you’re looking for a cheaper one, try Jane’s Millionaire eyezing, which is also a pale minty green. Green e/s looks really nice on Asians IMHO! πŸ™‚

Hi Bev,

Try going to Tools -> Options -> General -> and check the box that says “Automatically display folders with unread messages”.

Hope that helps. πŸ™‚

Arghh.. there’s no General tab! I have Tools, Options.. but when I get there the only other selections are Preferences, Mail Setup, Mail Format, Spelling, Security, Other.. and none of them have that “Automatically display folders with unread messages”. Poo! What Microsoft Outlook version are you using?

Hi Bev:)
Hope you enjoy the week off b4 Uni:) I personally never bother opening up emails with “Congratulations… you’ve won…” coz nothing like winning something comes free these days..LOL!
Oh I’d love to come to Aust but we can’t afford it right now… what with all the loans and stuff:) But I do hope we get a chance to visit and hopefully I’ll be able to meet up with you:)

Heh, I generally don’t even read the “winning” emails either. But this one was really personalised and knew my personal email address, my full name, and mentioned it was an Australian thing. And I know that no one’s ever that lucky and they’d never just email you if you’d won, so that’s why I purposely called and pointedly asked if it was a stupid marketing tactic so at least they’d squirm when they had to admit it. Still though, doing that sort of marketing should be banned! :T
Have you been to Australia before? It’s quite cool! πŸ™‚ I’ll probably stay here another few years to work ‘cos since I already have this place, it’s a waste to just go back when I’ve already spent $1200 on it..
