    I say:
For the digital, third picture of you and Chris, where your head is resting on him and you are both looking into the camera. There’s just this glow about you that’s different from the rest.

And the last Chris & you pic for the hard copy.

Of the masked group shots, the second one I just like everyone’s smiles and poses there than the first one.

The only girls’ pics-the first one.

And the last one (if you decide to get 5 pics afterall) because it looks fun!

    You look gorgeous.
    Good luck picking! 😀
    xxo

I like the last pic of Chris and I too, especially how it’s a bit yellow.. so we’ll probably get that for the hard copy 🙂 Can’t decide about the digital one though!
I”m definitely getting the pic of the 3 girls.. I wish I had tons of money or they were heaps cheaper, then I could get every single one 😛

Hi, I know just a little about photography and I think that though the subjects are nice (you pose very nicely), the photographer fouled up- his flash is too strong (full-on white in your faces) and the picture composition leaves quite a little bit more to be desired (esp. in the couple pics- what was the photographer thinking, gawd).
I think the earlier pics of you and ur bf in masks is nicer- seriously, if you are going to pay that kinda money, well, blow up your own pics instead.
I’m sorry my same opinion applies to the trio pic, for the same flashbulb in your face reason (the composition’s fine though).
The group pics are much better photography wise- because he couldn’t come that close with his powerful flash and the picture composition (because there’re more people) is improved. I’ld pick the last (bottom last) group pic- you HAVE to pick this pic cos it’s so dynamic (because of the angle taken as well as the pose/ expressions). A good second choice is the 4th group pic from top (the one with some guys sitting on the floor)- the composition is much worse than my fave pic, but lighting’s ok.
Maybe give the sit-down (on a bench?) a miss- it’s not in sync with the flavour of the event (for that same reason, the just stand in a group pics).
    What was the photographer thinking?

I know where you’re coming from. I was a bit.. put off.. by some of the shots too – which basically looked quite ammateur. They didn’t pose us or arrange us, it was more of a “snap and run” type of thing, so that’s probably why.

As for the quality and flash, I don’t really know what the originals look like since we’re ordering off the net (where they mentioned the q uality is poor to save on image size). I do hope that when we order hard copies they’ll be better though! BTW, those white concentric circles are just the copyright watermark that they made, so we can’t steal those pics and have to buy the proper ones from them instead. Just wanted to make that clear ‘cos 2 people emailed me asking if they were part of the photos or not!

I actually have that pic of me and Chris in masks (that you mentioned) on my desktop, I do like that one ‘cos the colors look normal in it and we’re actually centered in the photo!

🙂 I knew what the circles were for- was viewing from a laptop earlier when I posted but now on a desktop monitor, the lighting’s better… snap and run is gd for lively events to capture the spirit but other than the LAST pic, I would say the photog needs quite abit of work in this area.
The much earlier pics you had of you and your friends, as well as you and your bf are MUCH better than these by the pro photog.

Hehehe does that mean me and my friends make better professional photographers? 😀 I’m going to get a few of the pics anyway and see how they turn out when they’re in normal high-res and on hard copy.. hopefully heaps nicer.

regarding the group pix w/ you as the only girl standing in the middle…did the photographer decide to put you there? how lucky! if ur gonna pick a group pic, definitely pick the one w/ YOU front & center!

      Re: standing

Hehe actually, no! I just ended up there I guess.. I think it was ‘cos the front row was filled, so I was like “fine, I’ll stand in the back, in the middle of the boys!” 😛 Only prob is that I look darn *short* next to all the guys.. darn.

my 2 cents….the background is quite frankly…horrible! especially obvious in the couple shots where the screen is so obviously off centre. just by that, only the last pic of you and chris deserves consideration. i reckon your own photos were better!

leave off the sitting on the bench ones..looks too much like a class photo! but the ones with the guys sprawled on the ground is nice-last one.

Heh I know.. the professional photographers just picked a corner and took pics there, they didn’t even decorate it with flowers or anything :T I’ll most likely get the last one – it does look more relaxed and funky!
