Re: congrats

I hope I do too.. the interview’s tomorrow, yikes!

Oh, about the eye makeup – it’s MAC pigment in Frost all over the lid, and Urban Decay’s Liquid Metal eyes in Mercury inside the crease. And Lancome’s Definicils mascara on the lashes πŸ™‚

Re: congrats

thanks girl.. but what did u use below your eyes?

good luck and all the best for your interview tomorrow and do update us ya? =)

see….bright bubbly beautiful asian girl….what else do you need?…..white guys love em…

Well I haven’t gotten it yet.. but I went for the 2nd interview today and I hope I get it!! I will forever extoll the virtues of MIcrosoft if I do πŸ˜›

ooh bev, cuz i wanna go to Australia for Uni, but hearing for a lot of people that they are biased, so when i stumbled upon your journal, it seems like its not true at all! Ure in sydney or wot? (P/s i posted a msg b4)

Nah, Australia is great fun! The people are nice and the place is great too..it’s a great country πŸ™‚

And yeah, I’m in Sydney.. I love it here ‘cos it’s the city and so there’s a lot of activity and shopping too!

I can imagine how great that would look on your resume. :). And it’s cool that your parents are supportive… do you have to pay tuition for the year that you defer?

Oh nah – if I defer, it just means that Uni kinda “stops in time”.. so I don’t pay since I don’t go to classes. And after a year, I come back and just start where I stopped. Uni’s pretty flexible so it’s cool πŸ™‚

That’s a good system. In S’pore polytechnics, we have to continue paying fees even if we defer. So like we can continue where we left off, but keep paying in the meantime >:

Whoa, that’s insane! ‘Cos you’re not even THERE, so why pay? Maybe it just gives ’em extra income or something, heh..

Hi-

This will probably come across as a totally random respond, but please bare with me. =)

My name is Britney, and last summer I fell in love with Australia. I traveled from the north eastern coast down to Sydney, where I then spent some time in New Zealand. The point I’m trying is get at is, I would be ecstatic if I was to attend a university in Australia. I was hoping that you could tell me a little about where you attend, and whether or not you like it.

Thanks..
And the best of luck to you in the final step in your interview process!!

God Bless,
Britney

Hi Britney,

Glad you liked Australia.. and I *totally* recommend coming to Uni here! First of all, the fees here (for you as an international student) is almost the same price as going to Uni in the States. I’m at the University of New South Wales, which is excellent for Engineering and computers, etc.. I love student life here – the people are really nice, the weather’s great, and the lifestyle is awesome.

If you do come here, definitely stay on campus in a college. That way, you instantly get a TON of friends and it’s a lot more fun than renting an apartment by yourself. Plus, everyone in my college is fascinated with Americans, so you’ll probably end up being a minor celebrity, hehe πŸ™‚

WOAH!

This is quite an accomplishment. Work experience is a great thing- just make sure that you won’t regret defering school one year. Just think – you’ll be in school ANOTHER year…right now six years of college is enuff for me!!

Hey, I meant to ask you – whatever happened to that job where you dissected peoples brains? Wait, wait – it was the hair replacement job? I forget – ru still doing that?

Also, Beauty.com is offering free shipping this month on orders over $20.00. Thought ya might be interested.

Re: WOAH!

Oh I won’t be at Uni at all if I work at Microsoft, so I still study for the same number of years, but graduate 1 year later. It’s more than worth it if I manage to get a job at Microsoft πŸ˜› I don’t know if I will though.. I don’t want to get my hopes up ‘cos I know there’s HUGE competition for it.

Hehe yeah it was the hair transplant clinical assistant job. The surgeon gets called in by the hospital every 2 months, for 1 week.. so that’s when I get called in too.

Thanks for the beauty.com tip! I’ll check it out and see if it’s free internationally and if I *need* anything.. I’m too much of a shopaholic, haha!

Yay! Go Bev, you have a great personality and a lot of skill..I’m sure they’ll love you. πŸ™‚ Your parents don’t mind that your going to defer school for a year though? (Not that I think its not worth it, it completely is..) πŸ™‚

GOOD LUCK and lots more.

Hehe thanks, you ego stroker! πŸ˜› Nah my parents said they don’t mind because deferring Uni just means I graduate 1 year later.. but it’s all worth it because if I get to put “worked at Microsoft” on my resume it’ll help me waaaay more than graduating ‘on time’!
